The Second Comment type is the Spam post. This is not a post about the meat that keeps most college students alive (fried is best). Nor is it the kind of spam we get in email every day, the flood of unwanted advertising.

Spam in a comment section is when someone repeats their post several times, either in several different blog posts (each one has it's own comment section) or in the same comment section. The repetition is exactly the same wording, usually by cutting and pasting the previous post repeatedly.

This is especially annoying because it takes up space for no good reason. Unlike when someone is speaking out loud, the record of one's words, unless deleted by the blog owner, is permanently in black and white on the screen. You simply do not need to repeat yourself to make sure you're heard, it's right there to be read. The post might be lost in the flood of other comments, but it's still there and you can refer it without repeating exactly the same post over and over.

Typically people who do this are quite young and frustrated they are being ignored, or are trying to stir up trouble by saying something really annoying - see comment type 1, the Troll for more on this type. Either way, this is one of the most hated types of comments and should be avoided at all costs.

As opposed to trolling, responding by telling such a person to knock it off is usually acceptible.
