Quote of the Day
"Both parties in Congress should know this: if a bill comes to my desk with earmarks inside, I will veto it."
-President Obama
*UPDATE: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's response:
"American public should understand, and I'm sure they will as time goes by, that the President has enough power. He should just back off."

When did he say this? Cause it ain't true.
The State of the Union Address last night. We'll see, I hope he holds to it, but have no reasonable expectation of it.
In any case, some earmarks aren't necessarily bad although I'd like to see the whole thing scrapped just to get rid of the 99% that's bad.
Harry Reid should understand, and I'm sure he will as time goes by, that one of the President's powers is the veto.
